About a month and a half ago, I had just hit 29 and decided to sit in WC doing
porting shouts like I had seen others do. While sitting here, I became bored
and asked my guild where I should hunt at my level. I receive several replies,
but the majority pointed me in the direction of IC. Being the ever-cool druid I
am, I start shouting for a port myself. This is basically as I recall it.
/shout Looking for port to IC, paying well!! (Im a hard working druid myself, I know how hard it is) About 2 minutes later: Niceguy_000 tells you-"How much is well??" You tell Niceguy_000-"Ummm, is 75pp ok?" |

Keep in mind, I had just started porting and thought I was rich. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. Niceguy_000 tells you-"It's very dangerous for me to port in there, I will need invis cast on me after I cast the port, ok?" Sure, invis. Ok, I can do that. You tell Niceguy_000-"Great! Im at the druid ring now! Memming invis. Just poke me." You tell your guild- "I got a port! Ill be there shortly!" Guildmember_01 tells you-"Great! Someone will be at the ring, invis, waiting for you." Niceguy_000 pokes you. Niceguy_000 invites you to group. Hit FOLLOW to accept...I hit follow. I at this point I am getting quite excited. Niceguy_000 tells the group: "Ok, I need the money up front now because as soon as I zone into IC I am porting back out." No problem. You tell the group: "Heh, that dangerous eh? No problem, here you go!" Ching. Tradescreen. Accept. Accept. Niceguy_000 tells the group: "Thank you. Don't forget to cast invis as soon as I cast." Sheesh, enough about the invis already. You tell your guild-"Already paid him and Im incoming to IC!!!" Niceguy_000 begins to cast a spell. You begin casting Camoflauge. Niceguy_000 fades away. Loading.....Please wait. THEN I see something to this effect (dont remember the exact wording) Zone unavailable. Transferring you to safe spot within current zone. ?????????????????? You have been removed from the group. You say to your guild: "Uhhh, guys. He just ported out and im still in Commons. Is the zone down?" Guildmember_005 says to the guild "No, everything is fine. You are still in Commons?? Message him and tell him it didn't work." *Editors note: Niceguy_000 will temporarily be referred to as NotNiceguy_000. Sorry for the inconvenience.* You tell NotNiceguy_000 "Ack! It didn't work! Im still here!" No answer. Me being the overreactor I am, I immediately start messaging the guild about how I paid NotNiceguy_000 75pp for a port and he ditched me in the middle of Commons and isnt answering me. They are also infuriated and agree that he will be put on our 'No SoW, No rez, no port' list. guildmember_003 tells the guild "That guy that ported you is here in [insert forgotten zone here]fighting with a group as if nothing happened. I just told him that what he did was wrong and he needs to go back and give you your money or port you. He said he will come back and port you out and that he doesnt understand what happened." /cheer *Editors note: NotNiceguy_000 will temporarily be referred to as Niceguy_000. Sorry for the inconvenience.* Niceguy_000 tells you "Sorry about that, wierd, I don't know what happened. Im on my way back to get you again. Meet me at the druid ring." Ok, we go through the grouping, cast port, invis, and port out Loading.....Please wait. Zone unavailable. Transferring you to safe spot within current zone. Skip to after a few irrate guild tells, and then finally an enlightenment. Guildmember_005 tells the guild: "Ummm, just wondering, but, do you have the Scars of Velious expansion pack installed?" You say to your guild:"The what?" *Editors note: Needless to say, I sent many many tells of apology to Niceguy_000 and he was wonderful enough to just laugh about it.
